Morning Star Quarter Horses is a 40-acre ranch located on the central coast of California, in a tiny town called Lockwood.
It is a short 30-minute drive to Paso Robles known for some of the finest wines in California and Lakes Nacimiento and San Antonio.
The ranch currently has close to 30 horses with 5 broodmares in foal.
What makes Morningstar so different is that some of the horses are from the bloodline of CD O’Lena.
The great cutting horse sire, CD Olena, ranked #3 among all-time leading living sires of cutting horse money earners,
died August 6, 2010 at the age of 19.
As a working ranch, our daily activities vary:
1. Breeding season
2. Caring for mares in foal
3. Caring for foals
4. Haltering
Morning Star Quarter Horses goal is to bring horse and rider to their fullest potential.
It is not only our goal but our desire as well.
Give us a call if you have any questions and we’ll be able to help you out.
